what type of bots are you talking about?

the reply bots that say things in chinese or the random users with names like JollyHappyFunAwesomeShopping

wiichicken: both types. theres a lot of advertising bots that just scream scam that some of the kids on here might fall for. and the reply bots are just annoying tbh (they could be dangerous ig depending on what they say but)
not to mention its just a bad look for the website because...bots suck for social medias tbh

i don't think teh reply bots are bad because most of them just say positive things once translated (that's the intention behind most of them) or are minigames. but the other type of bots are a problem with social media as a whole to be honest

they're on every platform and its almost impossible to ban them all without hugely inconveniencing the rest of the platform

i do like the positivity
but the fact they exist is just annoying tbh. purely on a personal stance, i hate how they clog up my notifs if i dont have them blocked

i feel like the bots would be better if they only worked once summoned (example using a hashtag or mentioning them) but i can see how they become annoying

there are actually a lot of bots like that on here, but nobody uses them because they aren't in english. but they're actually cool. for example, there are a lot that are fully written text adventures or complete minigames

those bots are fun, i like those
but the reply ones are annoying just bc of how plurk's notification system works
