It can get cold. I remember one time walking out to the road to put the flag up for the snowplow, I got so cold I pissed myself. Of course, my pants immediately froze and were freeze-dried in a minute or so.

The snow would get so smooth the snowplow could not see where the roads turned off, so people had to put flags up to show where the roads start and stop, so the plow goes between the flags. and not in the ditch. For us, the road turnoff was about a mile away.
