it's always fun to look at these yearly lists and go "I remember listening to this X day" or "yep I had that one on repeat while writing Y"

I think this year's has fewer repeats from last year. the past few years there's a small overlap because I end up either listening to the new top list a bit or I get to doing something and need a particular song/vibe and pop over to the list because I know something applicable is there

ie. some of the more ambient tracks or ones without vocals that I tend to use for background music while writing

idk what it is about that song but I definitely had it on repeat for like half a workday or more when I needed to focus lol

this one has been background music for writing a time or two for sure. and just when I want to groove a couple loops of the song

one of those where if there was an instrumental version I could easily have it on for an hour+

especially when it's a headache-y day and certain music/genres are just the wrong kind of noise even though they'd be fine on a different day

amusingly "Too Sweet" is only 54 on my list. though middle of the pack is pretty respectable
