now refilled the couple of bird-feeders I'm currently keeping in service (while others are in reserve). The previously stuck fat ball had been pecked to pieces so that it had finally fallen down inside the cage with just 2 small fragments remaining. So the next 4 balls could just be dropped in on top.

struggling to find the end of the thread on the new "cotton" (actually polyester) reel in order to repair the "new" trousers (which have dodgy seams just like the last ones from this same pre-pandemic batch I had bought & stored).

had to have a neighbour buy me this new reel of black thread and it isn't the same as my usual brand where the end goes into a cut slot at the end of the reel.

invoked the x4 magnifier as well as the higher strength glasses plus a needle to tease at the threads while trying to balance the reel on a towelled surface to keep it even a little bit steady because I'm completely out of usable limbs at that point (other than deploying a foot in a risky position).
