My child is working until midnight on Wednesday and going in at 3am on Friday for their damn shopping.

Crazy week for us too. Vet visit, my birthday (day after Thanksgiving), packing and making other moving arrangements, hauling stuff to the new place, moving company coming for all the furniture probably on the 1st. thanksgiving is just a small blip on my radar this year.

I felt the same when my 80 year old father was going to Walmart to work on that damn Friday. This country has serious priority problems.

I worked either retail or support for ages, to the point where I would say, only half-joking, 'What's a holiday?'

We have never shopped on Black Friday and stores exploiting employees on Thanksgiving now is just obscene.
