(ie orders) another pair online from the same shop (John Lewis), with as close a specification as I could find from the label in the replacement packets, so that those will then be my new spares in storage.

exactly when the last replacement took place - ie the expected lifetime of sheets.

sure that way back I was using a 3 sheet rotation (so each laundered one in turn was able to dry for longer while still having the bed ready to go).

that stopped because the shop didn't happen to have enough of the same sheets when I was trying to restock on replacements for worn out ones.
sef_lopod will

probably be able to continue with just a pair of sheets now that I don't go out anywhere any more - so there's less pressure to complete the laundry cycle within such a limited time-frame.

instead to avoid doing things on a timer overnight after reports of various other people's washing machines catching fire but also because the solar panels provide cheaper daytime electricity (on a good day!).

some rather old sheets, but the oldest seem to be suddenly failing at a rate that seems... surprising considering they've hung in so long, but now are failing. Which is kind of fine, as had already decided to have replacements available.
