At first the terminology kind of threw me, but thinking about it... hardly anyone in Dragon Age has genuinely archaic speech, and most of them sound like people I could meet on the street. It's not like gender terminology requires a high tech level, after all!

Even if I was inclined to think so, Taash got the terminology from Tevenes, and they have (magical) neon signs, searchlights, and loudspeakers Really, I think the real reason I felt like the terminology didn't fit is that I'm not used to hearing it in a casual way (and I'm nonbinary!)
