I'm so happy I'm finally OFF it after literally 35 years, b/c as of this year having been 'exposed' to mad cow living in Scotland for 6 months in 92 no longer disqualifies me

... though I need to see if any of my meds do

I have HepB antibodies.

No idea why, but I tested positive for them three times and so I’m DQed.

If you don't know why, do you think talking to a doctor could help?

I was just talking to my Sis about HepB a few hours ago. (On account of her job in public health and we were discussing blood borne pathogen precautions.) Apparently it's not uncommon for people to acquire HepB and have no idea how or where. Fairly recently the vaccine recommendation was changed such that it's recommended for everyone, on account of that.

I did, she said pretty much that. ^

Grieving something so important to you that you used to do frequently is completely normal. It'd be concerning if you weren't sad about it
