I got the breaking news from the Star and had to tell Yon immediately; we used to jokingly "argue" over who was hotter when they were younger, Maggie Smith or Angela Lansbury

Now they're both gone ;w;

Yeah, Maggie Smith was a treasure. One hell of an actress.

(Both are beautiful, though)

My introduction to her was in The Secret Garden, she always had such an infectiously appealing voice

I'm pretty sure foe me, it was Hook, was my first Maggie Smith film.

I remember hearing her in an interview talk about how she could never watch her movies because she'd just sit there critiquing herself and I found that very relatable.

Fuck.

She did always seem like someone way harder on herself than everyone else

Pretty sure it was Sister Act for me, but honestly she's one of those people who has existed in my awareness for so long I can't even keep track

Yeah, she was in so much, not unlike Angela

And she always nailed it, too. Never saw even an "average" performance from her, it was straight wins
