I recognize that I'm in a position of great privilege's to be able to work from home 2 days a week... but that privilege's is a holdover from the pandemic times and the account I'm on is finally putting down their foot and mandating people come back to the office 5 days a week

thankfully they won't be starting to truly enforce this until Jan 2nd

but being able to wfh 2 days a week has been such a quality of life improvement for me that I really can't stand the idea of going back

I'd been hoping to move into a position that actually let me work from home more honestly

oh boy....

I think I'll just look and see what options are out there because if I could swing it as a junior data analyst somewhere that lets me WFH that would be fantastic

I was already heading in that direction I just... didn't think I'd have a reason to start looking for another 6 months or so lmao

it's POSSIBLE that I could also get an exception made and then I won't have to move, I just have to chat with my manager about what my options are lmao

I hate that more and more jobs are returning to the office. it's been proven that people are often more productive at home

Yeah... I know they're claiming it's mostly in the spirit of collaboration and positive workplace environment etc. etc. but honestly I'm sure it's because they're paying for big buildings that are nearly empty 2 out of 5 days a week

it's not good money to have space unoccupied and unutilized
