Sudden thought zinging in the back of my brain remembering the middle school teacher I had who was a Star Wars fangirl- specifically Timothy Zahn- and once recited her Star Wars poem to the class.
It was not very good poetry.
Anyways, that's why I don't like Thrawn.

In theory I think it was 'supposed' to be to show us how what we were learning (it was a Humanities class which was the advanced option for squeezing a bunch of subjects into a single block with one teacher) could be applied to our interests.
While I was reading fanfic and aware of that fandom was comprised very much of Adults at the time, that did not mean I wanted to be listening to Star Wars fanfic poetry about Thrawn.
