Thank god.

I was telling someone who works in cat rescue about how I have this friend who's going through an awful time because the cat needs to get through the drugs, but isn't having any of it. And they were like "So are they considering putting him down?" Of course I said not if he gets past this. He's pretty healthy for his age.

He is, really, He's got one more week and it seems like he's finally either getting good enough that he can deal with it or he's just decided he's too hungry to let the medicine and anger get in the way.

Between the fact that he's still being himself and not a shut-down ball of fur in a corner and that he's physically fighting you and such even if it's probably not great for his heart, he wants to keep going.
