i'm excited but also cautious?
i got a response fairly quickly, but all of my research indicates that this is a real place with real people working there
the impression i've gotten is that it's... fine? decent enough for a side gig but don't make it your full time job
which was my intent anyway, to use it as a stepping stone/jump off point for better things
it's contract work still (english tutoring) and it's 15/hr but that's more than my current tutoring job
which i plan on keeping for the time being since i only have to do five hours a week there anyway
i've e-mailed them with some clarifying questions but both my parents have given the contracts their business eyeballing (both worked in recruiting for almost 40 years) and said everything looks on the up and up
merci! still waiting to hear back about a couple of things, and also have to do a background check
which always makes me nervous lol idk WHY because i have literally never even had a parking ticket so like
idk maybe they'll find out about that library book i stole from my highschool
Even if it comes back with something on it legally you can be like hold up this is incorrect
yeah no for sure, it's just the same feeling as like. "did i accidentally put cocaine in my backpack" while going through TSA at the airport
Recently I forgot about a knife I put into my backpack
omg i did the same thing, almost. i was doing papercrafts and i forgot i had giant fuckoff pinking shears in my backpack
they were like "heeyyyy don't. do that."
YEAH lmao but yeah it's nbd you won't get in trouble! but i hope it goes smoothly
This is awesome, congratulations!!! <3333
merci! my background check cleared, wooo
