You can identify flights in your area with an app. Interesting, right? A manager told me about it. It's flight aware.

Flightradar24 has web, and smart phone. Using augmented reality on the phone app you can point towards a plane overhead and get the information.

Oh yeah there’s a few. Yak was big on FlightRadar. I have about four different ones that I use. I live in the flight path right where they are descending and slowing down. It’s loud! LOL

My house is in a flight path to the Logan airport. Some afternoons we hear helicopters too.

Not many in the air right now, but we have several regional airports along with PDX international airport. We do have some flight paths right over the house, most above 3000 feet, but they do get lower if approaching the airports.

Do not see any helicopters right now, but it is just early morning and most of those fly under VFR.

People fly helicopters usually on weekend afternoons. There's a local community college that offers helicopter flying lessons too.
