I started act 3 last night and I feel like I missed a cutscene somewhere or something?

I had the interaction with Kressa Bonedaughter where I found out what happened to Gueroth (my durge) in the colony, at which point he was definitely still in the dark

now Orin has shown up and been all "hello brother" and he's like... not really reacting? like he now seems to know what's going on

I was expecting more of a wtf and a chance to question her, or at least some kind of narrative insight to not reveal the memory loss

I've been spoiled enough that I knew he was a child of Bhaal ahead of time but I feel like if I didn't I'd be like wait what

IIRC you have the 'Bhaal is your dad' revelation at about the same time you enter the Wyrm Gate but I think it's possible to encounter Orin before that :|a

so maybe just a matter of weird pacing then

Nah, she never really gives you the time of day besides harassing here and there

There's one encounter with her in the circus and one with the smithy

I think the circus one might be easy to miss

Neither are really telling, but if you missed one or the other maybe it'll bridge the gap you're noticing

there's actually another over by the Flaming Fist outpost

what's throwing me is more his lack of "???" to her calling him brother and stuff so like... maybe I was supposed to do the things that would get those reveals first...? idk

honestly I know this isn't an explanation but if Orin said literally anything to me my entire response would be 'mm cool why are you dressed like that'

he does say "she's playing with us" at one point so maybe his assumption is that it's some weird bullshit, I guess I just expected that to be more explicitly called out in narration
