Because they don’t need sharp edges to cut into your finger.
Super hoping I don’t break a finger bone, and glad it’s my non dominant hand.
Would like my other fingers to stop feeling sympathy pains thank you
Oh honey D: Can you bend your finger?
Yeah. Hurts, but it moves. All the damage is past the last knuckle.
I’m at the walk-in clinic for it right now.
Got x-rays done so we'll see if it's fractured.
Also, typing with nine fingers is somehow harder than one handed.
I’ll wait to hear from the doctor tomorrow, but from what I am seeing on the report they loaded onto the patient portal, I don’t think there’s any fractures. If I’m reading it right
I haven’t broken a bone yet and I don’t want to start with something as dumb as catching my finger in a window.
;; I'm glad there aren't any obvious fractures. I broke my foot once and that sucked. Still if you have a nasty bone bruise that hurts just as bad. /snuggles
And they said it’s possible that I might lose the nail, which will take a while to heal too.
And Yep, doctor called and confirmed it. No fractures.
Well there is a thin bit of cartilage leading to a bone in your nose. I'm glad there are no fractures and if you do lose the nail, just keep it covered. <3
Huh! "The nasal septum contains bone and hyaline cartilage. It is normally about 2 mm thick."
The more you knooow /rainbow
Yep Yep. I picked up one of those u bend splints last night for the sleepage (and the doing most thingsage because I move my hands a lot and smack them into things), so it protects the area pretty good.
Doooo I bite the bullet and cut the nail short? It's gonna hurt, but it'll probably hurt more to keep bumping it.
Do you just have clippers? Or do you have nail scissors?
Clippers, and these things
maybe soak your hand/nail first so it's soft and easier
No to soaking because I don't want to soak the scab on the other side off. But I'll be careful
Survived! My nails are pretty hard so they tend to break following the path of the clipper. Makes it go faster.
;; You're tough. Poor finger.
