anyway I'm finally making a plurk to say
I skipped the Adamantine Forge last run and I'm fighting Grym for the first time
lol just lowered the difficulty on my... fourth... attempt... let's see if that helps...
yes okay that made a big difference lol
wait how do I forge the second thing? it's not letting me do stuff
nm I failed to, you know, put in all the shit I actually needed to put in
the actual forging doesn't really give you directions
I only managed to beat it by having Karlach use a war hammer to pummel it to bits.
I tried it like five times before someone told me it only takes damage when it’s on fire from lava
Had to put my controller down for a bit, stare at the ceiling
yeah I looked it up but even with the walkthrough it was hard af
Yeah I was only able to lure it to the hammer thing once
On my second play through I was a higher level when I took it on so I was ble to just wail on it
What I finally figured out was that luring it to the hammer thing was a nice-to-have, but it was REALLY HARD, and you were better off using the lava + someone with a big warhammer strategy. Although according to reddit, you can station someone to stay on the stairs above, and they can huck down any random garbage onto its head too.
and that counts as bludgeoning damage.
I keep wanting to do a Druid so I can do the turn into an owlbear or something above and just jump onto it
ah yes, the "owlbear with the steel chair" approach
I did manage to hit it with the big hammer once and on the lower difficulty + the cold damage I'd been doing, that was enough
