The reasons I'm not interested in the show are just because I am petty and dont like the art + it reminds me stylistically of Invader Zim/Homestuck which I didnt like for similar reasons
So I have no ethical dog in this fight except obviously all transphobes are shit

honestly there's that much vitriol being spewed by a people on the internet I don't know what is real and what is made up anymore

JKR is very publicly trying to destroy lives- I've seen nothing like that here, but like I said, I don't know, because it's got a lot of hate from a lot of people and has for years

I'm extremely suspicious of the gossip about this because this seems to happen a lot with new queer animation from small creators
yeah there's been a loooot of vitriol and the fandom is honestly such a toxic, screaming mess and has been for years that picking apart what is legit and what is not is near damn impossible
it makes me remember when twelve forever came out and someone immediately went through the creator's tumblr to find receipts to get people to boycott the show
which is admittedly a little different since Julia Vickerman did get fired from the show, but no one stopped to see that it was given to the person who produced danger and eggs
but it was the speed of it that concerned me

And then there were people trying to insist Rebecca sugar was terrible for Something and I just. I'm suspicious because I feel like it happens to showrunners with queer themes in their stuff a lot more than most other animation
