our ants are still hibernating but I coexist with sugar ants at least 3/4 of the year. ganbatte

I put a line of boric acid powder by each doorway entrance and any other cracks they come into. It keeps them outside where they belong. Fortunately the dogs always left it alone too. They might’ve gotten sick from it I’m guessing but probably not enough there to seriously harm them. They sniffed at it and then left it alone. I think they knew it was bad.

amdro is an ant bait that i've found to be crazy effective with my ants- boric acid does not have great results. but there's the initial gotta clean everything up and erase all their trails so they don't keep going further afield when i find them! they are coming in through the walls (behind the dishwasher) because wet outside
and for the flooding i have the cutest new little baby shop vac that will be easy to empty. that one is a perfect storm (har har) of had some work done outside and it hasn't been filled in yet, so i have a pond next to a wall of the basement with these rains
