I think I'm going to have to read the Waste Land again. Were the footnotes keeping anyone else from really getting in to it?

i feel like they helped me out. like, even though i didn't understand the full context of what the footnote told me, they helped. haha alot.

I feel the same about the footnotes keeping me from getting into it. It's hard when you have to stop every few seconds to read a footnote

Yea, I feel the same way I like the sections when they are hardly there. But sometimes they help a little and other times

i liked the footnotes only as far as helping understand certain parts. aside from that, totally agree.

Yes, they always do, and I don't even understand half of them anyway. I almost gave up on the footnotes alltogether.

Yes. I hated how there were more footnotes than actual poem.

i would just forget what I had read of the poem once I finally finished reading the footnotes.
