i like being able to follow the conversations. i wish there were a "replies" tab like twitter.

nope, definitely not just you. There are plenty of other who don't either - but heck, i use twitter, plurk & friendfeed and I like them

all equally.

there are things I like about Twitter, and things I like about Plurk. Find myself in both of them more than either Jaiku or Pownce.

well pownce is just slow & painful at the mo...it's quite sad.

I hated plurk at first. But I have found some value here that isn't replicated elsewhere.

I think Plurk is easier to converse with people.... many conversations going on at the same time.

Didn't get it either & didn't like the Karma feature. Changed my mind after a couple of Plurkshops though.

It's really a shame too, cause chrisbrogan would stand to gain more from Plurk than most. Maybe he should ask ProBlogger about it.

and not to beat a dead horse here, but I'm sorry, alot of you that complain about Plurk need to look at who you are following.

I've looked at some of your friend lists and its mostly folks that only come over to Plurk when Twitter is down, and complain about Plurk

i don't like it either. i thinki it is the annoying emoticons that put me off. i gave it a shot, though i'll stick to twitter.

Okay, so let's take some of this. First, is a comment the start of a conversation. It was a statement. Are ALL posts conversations?

Further, if your version of showing me why you love it is crapping on my use of it ,wow. Useful.

Finally, not all services are for everyone. Maybe you love it great and I don't. Just opinions. We all have one.

What you've mostly posted here on Plurk are complaints about Plurk. How can you expect to get the effect of this service if you don't try.

Why not actually try an experiment and cross post your twitter posts here and see what kind of posts you get?

Also, you have over 1,100 people as fans and friends, so yes, everything you post will more than likely generate some level of coversation.

by nature the Plurk interface contains all responses giving the comment a sense of beginning a conversation even without meaning it as such.

Myrnaslist the gaming for responses and frequency, the lack of favoriting, not knowing where I responded, all the clicking back and forth

yes I see-you can favorite by clicking plurk page below and saving in your favorites-the gaming I agree-wastes good energy-so ego

a few pages saved, but a star-tag would be so much easier!

plurk is much more high-maintenance than twitter, but does like how much easier it is to follow conversations.

chrisbrogan you can try ping.fm to crossposting here and Twitter at the same time

Plurk is a clever service & it takes a while for each Plurker to find the way s/he is most comfortable with this news tool

I can see the scaling issue for someone like you, but I wonder if there might not still be a way to integrate it into you total thing?

I had Myrnaslist show me plurk in person. Made a BIG difference

plurk is much more conversational than twitter, but there is still a long raod ahead for the developers, to make this service more useful

Chris, click on the "View" link on the new plurks tab at the bottom left of your timeline- you get all the new comments

I like the conversational aspect of Plurk. Twitter is too "flat".
