about Plurk. Seems more like a chat room than twitter. Do I need that?

While some of the conversation is pretty chatty, there has been a lot of educational stuff as well.

it's still more like a chat room. Not saying that's bad but different than twitter. More about conversations, less about presence.

shareski will give Plurk a chance. Yes, there are some comments that are posted for chatting but there have been some great resources and

conversations going on here. One of the great conversations is about the book "Brain Rules".

I think it's also more difficult to follow a large number here. Not sure how well Plurk will work for me when school starts.

the format of plurk is much better when one needs help, advice, support. Twit. used to work like that but people rarely respond to inquiries

JackieB I agree. I find I get less info here than in twitter because I only follow a few conversations at a time.

it is different than Twitter. Which makes it nice. Conversations don't fall thru the cracks. And neither do people. And a train of thought

does not have to be intrusive for others. Just mute.

yet a full thought can be expressed here. In real time or asynchronous. The quality threads continue to pop back in.

Actually, I'm thinking that once school starts, discussions on a Ning would be easier to follow than twitter or plurk.

What I like is, I ask a question, then come back later and have 15 answers. It is all grouped together, but I don't have to be right there.
