clara died pointlessly and there was a specific entity to blame and he lost his shit completely

i feel like when he thought barry sacrificed himself to the speed force he prooobably had a similar reaction to finally, truly losing river - this was barry's choice, going out like the hero he was, dying out of courage and love. he had to respect that and keep on in that spirit

but if he saw barry die violently in front of him he'd just lose his shit

12. Honestly it's hard to exist in the Marvel universe without believing in the afterlife

her stance in that nebulous time between being awakened and meeting scott were basically "eh, probably"; her focus was very much on more concrete things

then she met the x-men, and various gods, and people who could talk to spirits, and a goddess-like figure who literally resurrected her

it's a pretty solid fact to her that there are various afterlives and pretty much everyone ends up in one or another

when she died was fairly certain she'd end up in some kind of hell, if she even had a soul to begin with

she leaned more towards "i'll probably just stop existing completely"

(canonically speaking, she did not)

21. Compassionate but pragmatic? She'd help them if she could, she wouldn't go out of her way to be cruel to them, but she'd kill them in self defence or she needed to eat. She seemed pretty delighted when she thought Kitty had a cat so I tend to think she's partial to those. (...And still did take care of Lockheed when it turned out he was a dragon)

As the Goblin Queen animals were definitely fell into the same "I give zero fucks about hurting anyone or anything" mode though

so she doesn't care about them enough for that to break through, though tbf nothing else did either
