So i found out legally, they can't make me drop a course if i don't choose to. I emailed my professor that I would like to take the course this month, and If I choose to take a month off, that it will be next month because next month's class involves a lot of team assignments. I asked him to reschedule the first class as well. Now to wait for a reply.

for everyone catching up, im the only kid in my class so they essentially don't want to waste resources on teaching a class to ONE KID, so the school keeps trying to get me to drop the course.
my school drops the entire class if more than 3 people dont sign up
I actually had a class get canceled and no one told me and I showed up and yeah
good luck hope they do right by you.
Crazychef: well the class already STARTED and the first class was today so they can't. and they cant legally tell me that i have to withdraw from the course.
did you go to the first class?
omgwtfbarb: yeah, and the professor sent me home.
ive essentially already been told, that if i want to withdraw, it is my decision
“You can continue to take classes (you'd need to schedule make-up with Gerard for the tonight's class), like I said, the big concern is months 7 and 9, where you will be expected to make a game start to finish, in this case, on your own, along with all the other development and scheduling tasks those courses entail.” From the email my course director sent me
So essentially this class isn’t one of the ones that requires team work. If I absolutely have to take a month off I’ll do it in Month 7, so I can be with a batch of more students when entering that course.
