Will we be able to avoid it? A lot of what's appealing about Plurk is that it doesn't try to just throw everyone into a pot together and/or force you to see things you didn't ask for.
Pteryx: you can “ignore” someone in the campsite! So that you’ll never see the author’s post again.

Let me try rephrasing it in case you misread: is the campsite optional and separate from our timelines, or is this something that will somehow invade our timelines?
What Pteryx means is "will this be opt-in." The way campsites work so far, you don't even need to see them or know they exist, so I assume it's the same for this one too?
Pteryx: ok. They are completely separate. The posts in campsite would not come to your personal timeline!

How does it work? Will we own the rights over what we write there, or will Plurk get them? Will we have to pay for it? So many questions..

fhachika: Yes! It’s a public space, so everyone can post in the campsite, whether their timeline is public or private.
Teeg: Campsite is Plurk’s latest experiment. We aim to create a public community space for like-minded people or those with shared interests to chat and discuss topics together.
Currently, there are a few Campsites available, such as ones for fantasy fiction and films, stationery, and drawing. Feel free to check them out!

However, they are currently limited to users in Taiwan. We are now planning to create a Campsite for English speakers as well. In the future, we hope some of you will create your own Campsites to explore more specific topics. We’d love to hear your thoughts!

luna_y_gatos: Yes, unfortunately, but hopefully if we can set them to private like we can our plurk accounts, it will allow us to only limit posts to friends or friends of friends instead of allowing trolls to see them also.
Teeg: i change my mind... campsite i think (havent been into one) is like a public space. so you and the troll can be there, but since you blocked them they cant see you or you them. so still ok i think.
luna_y_gatos: That's not what I understand; sounds like it's public-public; anyone can see, anyone can reply, there is no blocking, you don't even get to create your own and select who can see it. Trolls will abound, and you won't be able to avoid them. Wait and see, and perhaps it will be mostly fine cause Plurk isn't as widely known as other platforms.
