Been back in Alaska for 15 days now. My mom tested positive for covid the day before I got here. She’s been asymptomatic and is now past the contagious stage? So I should be able to see her soon. I don’t start work until the 15th. It’s really surreal being up here. Living with my aunt is ... okay. I miss my car and I’m cold.

Oh what’s that? Getting absolutely zero sleep night before an early flight? Nothing new here.

Have to move back to Alaska for a while. At least 6 months. Mom’s not responding well to her chemo. I’m feeling a range of confusing emotions. Mostly sadness. Hopefully I can get transfer with work....idfk.

My two friends from work went in on a surprise birthday gift for me and I got to open it early. They got me a freaking Nintendo Switch! I am still in disbelief. I’ve been struggling all summer being in and out of hospitals and feeling like a piece of shit. I feel so incredibly special right now. They are freaking amazing people and I am so grateful.
