daughter's MIL had elbow surgery yesterday--she fell and shattered a couple of bones in it. Guess it was worse than the doc thought, so good she had the surgery. Long recovery ahead though.

there was a barricaded shooter situation nearby last week. Guy shot himself. Turns out it was one of my daughter's classmates, remember him as a sweet smart guy. So sad. He was a chef, and I guess also alcoholic.

I woke up stiff and sore today to a flurry of texts. The Powerball winning ticket was sold in my home town, at a gas station I've bought gas from 1/2 mile from home.

got my hairs cut today, found a darling little cafe in the arcade next to the salon, and got to visit with my girl and her baby girl! Amelia slept the whole time but she's still adorable. Love her to bits!!

greetings from Sloth Central. Something about feeling hot and fevery that makes me unable to do anything much. Trying to be kind to myself and take care of the old body, it's the only one I have.

fourth day of fighting the pain and itch of insect stings. I'm kind of beginning to think it's easing up a bit. I sure hope so!

hello from Itch Central. I'm beginning to see the first signs of healing, but it can't come soon enough. Now up to 11 itchy sites, some 9" across.

time to go to bed. The bug bites are enormous, hot and fiery and so painful. It's beyond itchy. 9 of the things. I hope they will start to heal soon.

I'm surviving the day so far. Overslept, barely made it to PT in time, came home and took a nap. Now doing laundry, paid bills, got the trash out, and going to take A1 to soccer practice at 5. Then come home and collapse!
