"Pictures of Bolivar are exactly what the Mississippi coast looked like after Katrina." from son John, who saw it firsthand.

Fellow Ikers: Give the gift of listening to someone also going through this. Just ask "how are you dealing with this - really?" Then listen.

Son Mark and family came back from Kerrville today to work, and their power, not on this am, was ON. From frustration to tears of joy. #Ike

I'm FINE. Frustrated. Insecure. Neurotic. Emotional. How about the rest of you #Ike survivors?

Got to visit with, pray with, and give food to a lot of neighbors today at Second Mile Mission. To a person, they're traumatized by #Ike.

At Second Mile Mission in Stafford helping folks. Déjà vu -- I almost lived here after Katrina. Robbed mower to get gas :-).

Living without power and Internet was hard. Living without stores and gas stations because they don't have power is worse. #Ike

Thankful, sad, mad, glad and a whole lot more "after" #Ike. I know everyone else has similar emotions. Give folks a break and a hug. Peace.

Things that helped during the #Ike power loss: gas grill with side burner, battery operated TV, ability to take hot showers.

Surprised how little hard information and photos there are on #Ike on the web. I thought local tv was limited.
