Ashen Victor has a recurring theme about self-harm so it can get a bit too real, but the portrayal is powerful and impressively effective. The art style is really fucking good too, it might be my favorite story by Kishiro. It's best enjoyed with the context of Battle Angel Alita, but I think it stands alone well enough
