A family friend could not attend his grandfather's funeral. His Dad Skyped the service with iPad so friend could attend virtually! 
Emergency personnel say, "if you are going to (stupidly) stay in an evac zone, write name, address and SSN on 3x5 and put in your LEFT shoe"
FEMA says be sure to have a whistle with you when prepping for emergency. Brilliant advice!! Had not thought of that before.
