I don't know if I'm ready to ditch Twitter yet, to much of a culture there and it's not terrible using Twitteriffic.

Trick is to leave a Twitter client running so it picks up all the tweets when it's actually working so you can read them whenever.

and the posting API hooks don't seem to go under nearly as much as the site and Tweet distribution, so it usually posts when you do.

right. Do you read all the back-tweets. i'm such a sucker, waste so much time on FrndFeed, Twitterific or SocialThng catching up on the day

Yeah, I read through most of them, the only time I don't is when I'm offline too long for Twitteriffic to capture everything.
