RC = free copy that will expire after a time of what they hope will be the commercial version, final stage after beta testing before it goes

OSX is a version of BSD isn't it? So would that be Wine? If so it'll run Windows apps but not OSs - or is this something I don't know?

OSX = Operating System version 10 (Latin 10 = X) which the new BSD based Macs use
