what the hey is the difference b/w "accept as friend" and "accept as fan"? to accept as fan strikes me as a bit egocentric? i'm a rock star!

friend means you see their posts, fan means that they can see your posts but you don't see theirs

still confused. i accepted ppl as friends instead of fans in an act of humility, now it seems unintended snobber. how convert them to fans?

I just did both at the same time, surfed peoples friends for familiar faces and added as both friend and fan.
