I must have thought all of 2023 was part of 2022 because I was trying to stay under 5 plurks.
My resolution this year is to do 9 plurks to make up for last year
Ohh I look forward to the arbitrary holidays you plan to use for them, the Worthy Plurks
That will be tricky there are like 12 bank holidays. I gave to decide which 3 are unworthy
i mean tbf 2023 was just the third sequel to 2020
you can do it, I Believe!!
what if, instead, Masa, you plurked for all 12 holidays? and then made up for it in the following year
hear me out! if you plurk twelve times this year, then you only have to plurk two times next year!
looking out for Future Masa
Man think of what I could do with that time!
he'll look back on this moment and think "Gee, thanks Past Masa for thinking of me" instead of having to travel back in time as a cyborg and kill you.
Hey I just noticed a cyborg in the hallway
oh shit, commit, commit!!
Happy new year!! Hope you're well!
somescribbles: I know this is like a decade late but I finally read all the Dresden books.
You're one up on me then, because I didn't like what happened in what I think the penultimate book was, and then stopped -- but what did you think? fun characters, right?
They were a lot of fun. Also a lot.
I'm glad you enjoyed them enough to keep going!
I finally played my first game of D&D!
Oh awesome! What did you think?
It was really fun! I had very little idea of what I was doing, but it was really interesting to try to be IC verbally while still... making up the character as I went. I was like: I get it now.
A friend ran a one person one shot over Discord so I could try, which was amazing of them, so it's still not like -- knowing how it works with a party and all. But it was very fun!
It's definitely a fun kind of roleplaying. You don't quite inhabit your character as much due to the fast paced nature of it, but the structure does a lot.
it's a really cool way of storytelling!
definitely did get knocked out in my first combat XDD
I was DMing a game for a bit last year, but got a little burned out. Eventually I need to start a new game.
the Masa has returned for the new year's plurk
d&d is good. most my games have gone over to pathfinder though keeping some elements when need be
I can definitely see how DMing would be a lot of work
if you do start again, lmk!
shadedwhite: I've been feeling that urge to move to another system due to a whole lot of... stuff at Hasbro. Probably waiting to see how DC20 or MCDM pan out.
But I've been spending a ton of time building out a Zelda setting, with lots of homebrew stuff and my own art, so I'll probably be staying there for now.
