I’ve recently finally managed to, from top to bottom, have a complete run through of the drum solo piece, and I have to say, it’s quite an adventure. Nothing says struggling drummer than weeping every time I stare at the metronome in absolute horror because I can’t keep up in the past few weeks h a h a

However I’ve managed to identify some of my weaknesses and those little foam paradiddles are the ones that I’ve struggled to overcome, but I will, once I’ve had more practice, maybe then I can start figuring out how to count bars lmao

Nothing says what the heck than a person who drums not knows not a single bit of music theory h a. Anyway I think I will so my best to learn and get better. Right now it’s a speed issue, and I’ll also get over that, too.
