So, to start: Shiny Luminous made her first appearance in this season! Shiny Luminous's contribution to the final battle was not participating in the final battle!

(I joke, but am also serious.)

So anyways, final battle ended in a way similar to the way a lot of Precure finales go: By receiving the cheers of the people when they were in a pinch they-- ...And then Bunbee called the random people out and said that's just pushing the problem onto Precure, and that it's their town, and they have to work to defend it themselves.

And thus Bunbee of all people became the season's Aesop speaker.

So anyways, the epilogue portion of it: Can we all call attention to the fact that Honoka's grandmother got high billing in an international peace conference? Grandma Superpowers continue to the end.

Anyways, we didn't get to see Nagisa and Honoka's "adult" forms, but we know that Honoka has gone to antarctica to fight the melting of the polar ice caps. ...I seriously question how going there personally would affect anything, but considering Honoka's basically a genius and also has had access to basically every Precure universe ever...

She probably has some crazy schizo tech thanks to all the seasons.

(A reminder, the Hugtto season culminated in the invention of hope as a physical power source.)

Anyways, Hirogaru Precure. It's the Christmas episode. And in the grand tradition of Precure Christmas Episodes that aren't part of the climax, we had an episode dedicated to helping Santa. But the Skyland version of Santa, whose name is of course... Well, there are only so many ways to mix "Sa", "N", and "Ta" together.

If you guessed his name would then be "Satan", you would be... Disappointed! The people behind Precure avoided the obvious mistake! Let's have a big cheer for them, they truly did their best!

Instead we had Tasan. Who was trapped in a tiny tornado.

And thus Hirogaru Precure once again unleashed their ludicrously powerful magic to beat up an unusual weather formation!

Also, there was lots of flirting, which... Fair, this is Christmas in Japan, after all.

Also a cliffhanger at the end! Because this is still an episode that is part of the finale!

Because of course, the perfect time for a cliffhanger is when you're not going to have an episode next week because it's New Year's Eve next week.

Anyways, Ancillary stuff... I'm pretty sure Mashiro was the Pre-ED for this week. That's what my heart's telling me, but my brain is like "Are you really sure about that?" ...An it's also going "You saw this like 2 hours ago and you can't be sure who was in the Pre-ED? And yet you're doing commentary on it?"

Ehem. Anyways, Still no more Precure birthdays this month so that one's out. Apparently they've announced a new set of Mofurun merchandise, though. Mofurun is still Precure's most popular mascot, after all.

I am in fact looking at it now: It seems to be a set of a Mofurun figure and a Mofurun plush, released as "Mofurun 100% & 400%", in which case... I have several questions

Are you seriously telling me that Mofurun was actually only 7 cm tall this entire time?!

They're seriously telling me that that stuffed animal the heroine has been dragging along her entire life is shorter than the mug in front of me?

...I could see 28cm, though, yeah.
