Need to get over my discomfort with not being able to see what I'm drawing ON the surface itself and just get used to it

Doing a horizontal flip on the image can help point out errors that you miss when looking at it the same way for too long. Like drawing someone standing up and then flip the canvas and realizing they're doing a lean, or the eyes aren't lining up quite rigtht on a face
