Dude. No. He is fully present in episode 1 and removed at the end, comes back as the cliffhanger at the end of episode 6, and is fully present for episodes 7 and the finale 8

Anyway I liked it a lot. I'm definitely glad that the creators managed to predict that the episode 1 twist would become completely unavoidable and managed to build up to a second twist that was thematically core to the show but unspoiled
