Just a small rant but it really bothered me

So we're doing inventory (again...) and I scanned to see if a mug was already in the system rather than having multiple entries for the same thing and I found that this mug had the same bar code as a t-shirt????
So I told my manager and she deleted both the shirt and mug that came up off of the inventory and signed out and told me to sign in so it was under my name...
Which I proceeded to tell her that I was already under my name and just scanned the existing inventory that was in because that's what I was told to do rather than to make extra entries for the same thing

So the she fiddled with it and she told me to just put it in again, but then I had to remind her that she just deleted 2 items off of the inventory
Which had her confused as to what I was saying because she said it would be fine... But that means that the count will be off later on and I don't know where this other coworker found the other stuff
And I know for a fact Janine will bitch about the count being off for both items later... And then she got fussy with me like "I have someone I need to be in 15 mins, just continue on"

I'm not trying to be a smart ass or difficult and I'm not sure how that was difficult to understand
If you delete the total of whatever amount was in there before and don't put it back in, IT WILL BE SHORT
Sorry you have things to do when you're off but I'm just peeved that I'm trying to explain something and I just get yelled at for it
I'm not doing it because I enjoy sowing chaos or some bs like that.
It was less about the count and more about just the lack of willingness to listen to me
Anyway she left saying she'd be back after something she had to do and I was already checked out like... I'm also out at 4 so bye felicia

I'm just so tired of trying to explain things and people don't try to listen at all. It just makes me think "what's the point of trying if I'm going to get reprimanded for something I was told to do/tried to do to help"
It's just really discouraging because I dealt with that all of the time when I was at the restaurant. Not that this manager is always like this and this is likely a one off thing but man...
In the past when shit like this happened, either from raising concerns or trying to verify the right way to do a thing that EVERYONE should be following, Its always been treated like "you're just bitching to bitch about something" or "it's not important. You're just making a big deal out of nothing" and then waved off like I'm a nuisance
Until they come across the same damn problem and then realize "OH THIS IS A PROBLEM."
Like YEAH IM NOT BITCHING FOR NOTHING
But it's only a problem when they have to deal with it themselves
I'm just tired.....
I have zero faith in my new job being any better when things get set up, if not being worse....
But maybe as a manager I can set those standards instead of being frustrated that my voice isn't important
Or bring it up to the manager I'd be specifically assisting and come to a decision
Which from what I've noticed so far from when I spoke to her about this stuff in the interview, she seemed to be all about everyone being on the same page about how to do things so maybe that's a good sign that if there's a problem and we talk about it, we can come to a decision for how to handle it and can actually enforce it
Anyway I'm done ranting for now... I mostly just wanted to get it off of my chest. I finally finished the new hire stuff yesterday because it's been a busy week. So I'm hoping to hear back from her soon for when to start
