This might be controversial; but, in my opinion, dogs smell better than cats.
When I am snuggling with my dog and nuzzle her with my nose I find the scent quite pleasant. When I do the same with a cat, not as pleasant. Not bad, just not as pleasant.
Oh, the irony.
