I have been DESPERATE to find someone who can/will do an autism diagnosis.

now that we've moved, I go to a new doctor. I first met a stand-in doctor, and she set me up with an appointment with their psych who does good assessments, because she said this lady would be able to assess for ASD

but then I went to my real doctor a couple weeks later, and she said that this lady can't actually do an ASD assessment and will probably only be assessing for ADHD

which I have already been diagnosed with

so... I'm nervous...

I want this so bad. I don't know how it will go. this would already make my anxiety climb, without wondering if there's going to be a weird or confusing letdown on top of it

I hope that the stand-in doctor is correct here! I know it's so incredibly difficult to get an ASD diagnosis. fingers crossed for you
