Back in his late teens he had to have a piece of his bowels removed - he got a bad infection and it basically burst. He had roughly 3 inches removed.

His appendix burst in the surgeon's hand while they were trying to repair the rest of it, so yea bad appendix too. Since then he has gained over 100 lbs over his Dr approved max weight.

He has been having swelling of the stomach, pains etc and can feel things moving inside every time he eats or drinks, to the point where there are times he is afraid to eat because of the pain. He is getting a colonoscopy the day after his birthday so they can try to figure out what the hell is going on with this.

Well... when we go places I have been trying really hard to be extra careful with braking, etc because his seat belt crosses over his stomach, and he is swelling so much he can't wear jeans anymore without pain - but he hates wearing sweats in public.

So anyhow - this evening when driving home from town I had to basically slam on the brakes because a damed BLACK BEAR came out of the woods and ran in front of our SUV. Sucker was moving too.

And My Bear has been experiencing swelling, pain and hardness in his Abdominal area since then. So yep, he's calling an ambulance and heading back in to the ED. Again.

It's been literally one week.

You guys are going through so much. I’m so sorry to hear all this. I hope that by heading to the hospital that maybe they can move the procedure up. Thinking of you both.

He is asleep. I accidently left my purse at work so I got 2 hours sleep before I had to drive back and get it. and am currently ruining my appetite with McD's and root beer. First carbonated soda I have had in months. I am gonna end up getting sick but right now I just don't care.

christ, the longer this goes on, the more longterm damage it seems like he's sustaining...

draws so many healing and sustaining hearts around both of you I'm sure this is exhausting as well as scary. I am holding you both in my thoughts
