And by interesting I mean I actually knew someone who came in with a volunteer friend of mine

About a week or so ago, I was emailed some names from the volunteer friend for a friend of hers. Except I saw the name of the person she was bringing with her and I was like 'how many other people do I know who have that exact same name???'

Answer: None, I don't know anyone else who would go by that specific name

SO TODAY AT NOON, they come in. And I meet this person

Lo and behold, he's my 2nd grade elementary school teacher

So I was both very 'Aaaa!' and 'AAaAa' about it

But it was good! I helped him with the name-stamping and we caught up a bit before they all headed out to eat lunch

Like I remember seeing him some years back, but it had been a while!

Apparently he said my grandpa (great grandpa?) used to work with his grandpa at Grand Central Market and that grandma and him always talked about it and I'm like THIS IS NEWS TO ME

Usually having family connections like that always run into a dead end for me because I figured I don't know many people in the JA community, but ta-daaaaa surprise, we do have some connections somewhere
