Saw the new Barbie movie, I really enjoyed it and it was a lot of fun. Laughs, tears, and yes blatant nostalgia bait. It didn't rely on it though. My criticism would be that it tried to be too many things, but isn't that in itself so Barbie?

I sometimes think about how I used to design clothes for my dolls from scrap fabric and how I then took to SL. It definitely feels like some core part of me has always loved dress up. I saw my Keira doll as an avatar of fantasy fashion I couldn't attain myself, and then Siyu became that many years later.
