Legit kinda worried people are expecting me to ship femdom Jill/Clive and write for it (a few readers have implied as such) and idk how to explain I actually heavily dislike childhood friends as a romance trope LAJDKNDKDM So there is a high chance I won't write them. SORRY. Mind elsewhere shipping wise atm but to be determined.

i hate childhood friends trope if its f/m but m/m i go (jaw unhinged) ... f/m is so overused in fiction and sends such 'women and men can't be """just""" friends' vibes it's a major ick

kissecat: you pretty much hit the nail on the head for me. and it's SO heavily featured for love triangles in m/f I just get so burned out.

it's sad too bc i actually care a lot about their friendship, they're so sweet, the romance however feels incredibly forced and unecessary

djsgjslj big mood .. like yea they have a great bond and shared relatable experiences and to a certain extent I truly think jill is one of the few people who will ever understand clive as a person --- but there's absolutely NONE romantic chemistry there at all............

(also f/f and nb queer ships are fine for me but I'm biased towards the gay guys lmao)
So true... Especially when I really love Jill’s personality and how supportive she is as a friend... I really don’t want to see people explain the spirit into just some kind of action because of romance.
It kinda flattened Jill who’s actually a well built character even without any romance element...

ares_plrk: it is an automatic assumption for people a lot of the time that they should be a couple because of who they are! I don't agree and that makes people disappointed.

ares_plrk: I do not want to make people sad, but I only write when inspired and I am just not inspired by them! Others can write them as a couple, not me.
