Does anyone have a recommendation for someone who could make a color change HUD for me? Looking for particular features and customization and the MP has failed me

what features are you looking for?

maybe Dysfunctionality could be of assistance here, i think she scripts her stuff

nimil: biggest thing is being able to use a color picker chart to select a color, as well as typing in rgb values, but what's tripping me up in finding one is I want a customizable amount of sliders to control opacity on specific faces of my choosing

I want to update my elf ears but the hud I have only works on a linkset and I'd like to swap to material faces

you should consider making bom uv mapped elf ears because that's what people will rush to. the rest i'm no expert on :s

nimil: right now I'm still not making anything new or ambitious, I just want to bring my old mesh stuff into the current era haha

SiyuSuen: BoMing the ears would be quite simple- you just apply textures to one of the extra clothing slots in a Universal clothing layer, wear the clothing layer, and pick that slot from the dropdown in the popup when you click on the texture box

it lets you have layerable (tattoos, shadows, etc) and editable (tintable) textures in the clothing layer without having to deal with the mesh itself

as for scripting...i do my own because i never found anyone else to do it, so i have no suggestions

Allegory That's definitely interesting, I haven't played around with that yet, but would I be able to easily change the opacity of a layer that was BoM or would I need a dozen 5%-15%-25% etc layers?
Nimil

SiyuSuen: bom layers would need to have opacity layers, unfortunately they did not give us an opacity slider

i brought this up though because current sl shoppers would probably pass by a set of ears that makes you match the skin via hud.

nimil: oh why is that? I would think it would be easier

you'd have to go into the clothing editor to change the color wouldn't you? and you would have to save different clothing copies for different saved colors right?

bom is very universal standard

Dysfunctionality: I guess I should read up on it more, maybe I can use it but still have a HUD control opacity on the highlight and shadow layers. By the way do you make HUDS or want to be hired for one? :-P

I don't know that I really have the ability to work on something like that without charging an amount unreasonable. Kinda same boat of Allegory, I jus do it out of necessity.
