I got a new monitor and it boasts some insane amount of colors it can show. I thought it wouldn't matter much bc lol colorblind, but holy shit, it's like I'm seeing color for the first time

there are flowers outside my house in 14 that are pink! grass is so green! things are so vibrant!
I think i see more colors on this screen than I see irl. no idea how that works but it's incredible

mine still 2k bc those are supposedly better for gaming, and also was told that if you have multiple monitors and they're not all 4k windows can get a bit wonky
but it's super nice

I will say, I looked at it in a store compared to the model without the extra color stuff and the difference was notable then too, at least to me
which is partly why I was okay dropping so much on it
obligatory: colors are just a plot by big sidewalk to sell more crayons
(other part was the parta we bought put me under my computer budget anyway so had the extra wiggle room)
oh yeah 2k is also super good. I got the 4k for drawing stuff
lol reminds me back in the day when i got a computer that could actually handle WoW
i was shocked to find out things cast shadows, rocks had texture
my current monitor is from 2009 so i'm sure if i could afford a new one i would be having similar feelings again, haha
my other monitor is like a $200 thing from work

I do try to take the time regularly to remind myself of just how beautiful the world is, but I’m also always so grateful for the reminder.
