coming into this as someone who has played this ballet many a time, and who loves the ballet, I am very confused

TLDR of the video, Soviet Russia used to play the ballet on loop when Soviet leaders were being deposed. This was back before the internet when the state media had a choke hold on all the information going in and out of Russia. So Swan Lake on Russian TV meant some shit was going down but you weren't sure what.
