I feel like I should tell you, just so you know what you're getting into with a service dog, it's not like they train the dog and hand it over. A good chunk of the training is you working with the dog.
I just want to say this because I saw in your gofundme that you have days where you can't even get out of bed, which might be a problem during service dog training
husbando Thank you for the info. I do know that, and I'm just going to have to do it at my own pace, as I want to make sure the dog and I are well bonded and that we both learn as much as possible.
Definitely a good idea. I think the training with my school's facility dog and his handler (one of the teachers) was like six months with trainers (once the trainers had done the first part of training when our dog was a puppy). Not every day but several times a week.
