This was nothing but a PR hit job and shame on the NYTimes. Elizabeth has hired Risa Heller, a high powered PR rep for the rich and famous, who is a close friend of the writer.

Heller is also very closely tied to Elizabeth's criminal defense firm (Williams & Connolly) through Bob Barnett -- a partner there that Elizabeth obsessively was trying to get a book deal through starting back in 2017. She was even telling people even after her indictments in 2018 that she was pursuing book and documentary deals.

The NYTimes deserves all the shit they're getting for it and especially for not disclosing all of this.

換成一般人，就是不停地追求點閱數，按讚數，訂閱人數，粉絲人數，然後變成代言，業配，電視通告，團購，podcast。

之前我並沒有特別寫到她的事情或是批評她什麼（我發噗的目的也不是要批評她），而且她都被抓了也被判刑了。我覺得有趣的地方是，有人犯點小錯就被「取消」或是付出太大的代價，有人犯了大錯卻還是大紅大紫，橫走江湖。

Dick Fuld 也沒抓進去關，後來還說他對 Lehman Brothers 倒閉毫不後悔。

那篇文章真的是極盡洗白之能事，令人作噁。

我覺得如果真的像我朋友（前員工）說的，Holmes, 公關公司、NYT有裙帶關係又沒揭露，那就真的太誇張。

我記得事情剛爆發的時候，有些性別人士/女性主義者說，大家對於Holmes的批評重到不成比例。犯罪的男人更多，也沒有被批得這麼慘。但反過來講，NYT應該不會幫老男人rebranding+洗白吧（今天政治不正確）
